Xbox DISNEYLAND ADVENTURES

Do you remember when you fed that cow in Steamboat Willie? That was so awesome. Hey Mickey, can I can I hug you, Mickey? You might think, given my tendency for snarky, that I’m making fun. I’m teasing the kids who get excited about meeting some guy in a costume. But l wasn’t always so jaded. In fact, that was a word-for-word recreation of my reaction to meeting Mickey in this game. I talked to him out loud;

I jumped at the chance to give him a high five. In fact, Teen came in the room just to see what the hell I was doing. And I’m pretty sure hews prepared to laugh at me. He ended up watching, smiling and talking about Disneyland with me, instead. That’s how special this game is. It can turn a couple of guys in their late twenties into kids again. It took TJ back to Disneyland. It took me back to watching Chabot and Mr. Toad with my sister.

And though it’s for a younger audience than the Dance Central sand the Gun stringers, it stands with them as one of the best Kindest games to date. Kindest Disneyland Adventures is, above all else, appropriately titled. This game is massive interactive recreation of Disneyland, and in it, you have adventures. But the thing that’s most impressive is just how accurate this virtual Disneyland is.

Rides are exactly where they should be. You hear the same music you do walking around the park. Even the slightest details were added, and the results are fantastic. Simply walking down Main Street USA is enough to blow you away. And fortunately, much of the game is designed around that very premise. You’re a child visiting the park, and as you meet Disney characters, you end up taking odd jobs and helping them with certain tasks.

Early on, Mickey asks you to get pictures with his friends so he can finish a scrapbook. Later, you have to find Donald’s hat, which he understandably lost on the Matterhorn. There is a massive amount of stuff to do, and it seems like you can interact with almost everything you see. The park just feels real, and Kindest helps bring it to life.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Disneyland if there weren’t rides, and so the game abides. Kindest Disneyland Adventures turns rides like the Matterhorn and Space Mountain into little minigames, but actually, this is the weakest part of the game. The minicamps are too basic to really enjoy, and controlling them with fluky motion doesn’t really help. Another problem is these rides take you out of the park, and the park itself is the attraction.

Kindest Disneyland Adventures is most magical when you’re just wandering through the park, bumping into your favorite characters and interacting with them. Don’t worry, Ariel. I’ll get you a dingle hopper. Oh, sorry. This is a family game. It’s just I’ve actually come to appreciate Ariel even more as I’ve gotten older, but in truth, I can say that about a lot of Disney stuff.

I am a huge Disney nerd, and obviously, being one is a prerequisite to enjoying the game. But if you are a Disney fan or a parent looking for a great Kindest game for your kids, you won’t find a better one than Kindest Disneyland Adventures. So, Ariel...what do you say you and I go get a little ginger-active behind Space Mountain? I like you.

KIM POSSIBLE 3

Holy crap, it's Kim Possible. Talk about a blast from the past. You guys remember Kim Possible? Featuring TV’s Christy Carlson Romano. She gets naked in Mirrors 2, by theway. Her Even Stevens are pretty impressive. Hey, call me, beep me if you want to reach me. It's Kim Possible 3: Team Possible. So this game was released back in 2005, exclusively for the Game Boy Advance.

You might've noticed there's a three in the title. That's because they made lots of these Kim Possible games on the GBA. Three of them, in fact. And that's because...they actually weren't bad. Especially for a kids game based on a TV show.Kim Possible 3 is actually a decent little platformer. The game picks up with Kim's grandmother being robbed. Someone has stolen her scrapbook, and the only evidence at the scene of the crime...is monkey hair. That can only meanone thing. The evil Monkey Fist strikes again! So Kim and Ron head to the jungle to get the photo album, and that's when they find out...something much more sinister is afoot. So you play as Kim Possible and her bumbling boy toy Ron. Actually, I have no idea if they were an item yet, at this point in the Kim Possible timeline. Mostly because I'm not a twelve-year-old girl anymore.

Nonetheless, it's a tag-team side-scroller in which you have to switch back and forth between the two to complete the levels. So in terms of level design, what that means is...you find places where only one of the two characters can progress, due to their different abilities. So you go through, and you usually find some kind of switch or something that lets the other character get through,as well. Pretty simple stuff, never complicated, but still pretty effective. Actually, the gameplay is general is pretty simple, but not necessarily in a bad way. It's hardly the most exciting platformer in the world, but it's polished enough that things are at least kind of enjoyable. In fact, the only major problem is the controls.

There's some pretty serious lag that can cause lots of cheap deaths. Eventually, you realize Kim Possible 3 isn't worth that much frustration and you just stop playing. But for a while there, it was at least pretty decent. I'll tell you what, though...the game sure looks good. The Kim sprite, in particular, is pretty fantastic. She's also faster and more nimble than Ron, so there are actually some differences between the two, as well. Of course, what that really means is...you'll just want to play as Kim most of the time, 'cause Ron kind of sucks.

The big loaf. So I mean, there's a lot to like about Kim Possible 3, but mostly with the qualifier that this is a licensed game. For all the things it does well, there's something holding it back. Like the bad controls, or the terrible hit detection. Still, if you can deal with those things and not pull your hair out, the core game here really isn't all that bad. Especially for a...well, you know. It's Kim Possible 3 for the Game Boy Advance.

Knowing What Made Karateka Game so Popular

For so many years, there have been so many video released about martial arts. But as far as my personal favorite is concern, there is one thing that really interests me so much and it is none other than the unorthodox Karateka. Exactly what sets this game distinct from the rest is the how, which involves the unique of its gameplay experience; and the why, which involves the story of the game. Karateka has been developed out the fundamental things which made Karate as the leading martial arts for survival by relaxed individuals and ended up being a way of life. This game ended up being one of the most recognized game in this particular genre around the world.

The martial art Karate which has been the basis of the game Karateka is in its purest type is an art of which makes someone own body as the weapon to protect oneself and/or others. The animated representation of the actual punches, kicks, and strikes executed in the game is very precise that one can hardly distinguish from which real or computer-generated. Incorporating these elements of the game with the right gameplay features formed one of the most entertaining games all time.

With the origin of Karateka dating several decades back, It has become a household name for a martial art game. Numerous of the features and elements of the game have been the basis of today’s modern karate games. The gamers of Okinawa did make small changes to focus on its details that would concentrate on inflicting injuries to opponents putting on armor.

Because Karate establishes around the strengths of a practitioner some strategies were modified from original Kung Fu strategies to adjust to the figure of the Okinawan individuals and surface of Okinawa.

So many games have lots of essential elements that comprise the respective systems. Karateka maintains the 9 initial necessary elements brought from China. Very few Karate game experts learn about these facets nor do they practice all of them.

One benefit from playing Karateka is that it develops very strong sense of having martial arts being part of someone’s discipline. A gamer not just develops the mindset, but the urge to make it happen. This keeps the Karateka gamers more involved. Modern Karateka has developed into a mix of lots of martial arts. Typically, there were only 2 kinds.

Understand something about the martial art while playing Karateka, the strategies practiced and if performed effectively can provide tremendous knowledge to the gamer making him an efficient teacher of self defense without being biased to his or her physical statute.
